Audit, signed and explained
Every Hong Kong company must have its financial statements audited each year, whether it made money or not. We carry out statutory audits for private companies, and tell you plainly what we found.
What is included
- The statutory audit of your company's financial statements, and the auditor's report the Companies Ordinance requires.
- Financial statements prepared under the SME Financial Reporting Framework (SME-FRS) or HKFRS for Private Entities, whichever suits the company.
- A short letter on anything we noticed along the way — weak controls, missing records, things worth fixing before next year.
- Audited accounts ready to go with your Profits Tax Return.
What we need from you
- The company's books for the year, or the records for us to prepare them from.
- Bank statements for every account, and confirmation letters we will ask the banks for with your authority.
- Contracts, loan agreements and invoices behind the larger or unusual items.
- Minutes or written resolutions of the directors and shareholders for the year.
How long it takes
It depends on the size of the company and on how complete the books are when they arrive. We agree a timetable at the start, working back from your filing date, so that the audit is not squeezed into the last few weeks.
